Size for access panel behind bathtub faucet?

Tiling around the tub faucet and need a panel for cartridge replacement later. What size actually gives enough working space?

For tub/shower faucets I always do at least 12×12, preferably 14×14 if you can. Cartridge changes are fiddly enough without fighting a tiny opening. I used a 14×14 panel and it’s perfect – plenty of room for tools and hands. The one I picked has a durable metal door and good seals so no moisture gets behind it: https://www.amazon.com/Access-Panel-Drywall-Plumbing-Durable/dp/B085617TBL?tag=contractorhub-20 Install was straightforward and it’s held up great through two winters with no issues. Highly recommend sizing up a bit.
