Final Cut Pro X Download - Try It Free for 90 Days or Buy It Now

Agreed with you guys. Is there any recourse to contact apple to get them to fix it? Eager to download it and compare it to the same process I just did in iMovie. Trying to decide the age old question of move on to FCP or Premiere.

OK, this is a real pain but I did find a work around. I went through the apple site (the previously mentioned links don't seem to work at this date). I use Safari. I am using Sierra on a 2012 imac, FYI. Once you fill out your info and hit enter. Look at the status bar in the upper right and click on it. You will see the download progress bar. Everything is fine until about 100mb (total file is about 3GB) then you get the prompt "timed out". Don't close at this point. Simply Alt-Click on the status area and you will get a pull down window, it will have an option to "resume". Once you choose resume, you get about another 100 mb until it times out again. If you do the math you have to do this many many times. Totally absurd but if you are as desperate as I was, you'll try it. I have not run a FCP session yet, but it did "uncompress", install and open. It is my understanding that the dmg files are able to download in pieces like this and still work.

Final Cut Pro Trial always starts downloading then it always times out with a network connection error at some point in the download. Can't believe its been like 5 months and they haven't sorted this

Not everyone has this problem. The FCPX trial seems to download fine for many hundreds of thousands of users. It might not be your internet connection but there's no reason to think it's a problem on Apple's end or we'd have heard about it from many more people.

I am having this problem too. Gets to 16 MB every time. I tried downloading the 10.1.4 trial from Softpedia, and that stopped at 20 MB. I've also tried downloading with different operating systems and browsers.

Video Toolbox is a free-to-sign-up platform that helps you handle a lot of the video editing features provided in a robust, download-only piece of software. For instance, you can cut and crop videos, merge several files into a single project, and convert files into optimal formats straight from your browser.

My question is this. How do I download Final Cut Pro X from the App Store using these registration codes so my personal Apple ID will not be charged the 299 fee for downloading it? I downloaded the Final Cut Pro X trial from Apple hoping I could just activate it using the registration codes but this is not an option. Upon starting it states its a trial version and I can continue using the free version or buy the full version. When I click buy it takes me to the App Store.

You don't. Apps from the app store are tied to the Apple id used to purchase and download them. The registration codes can be used with the physical install media your employer should either already have or have ordered from Apple.

Once you're in the Finder application. Make your way to the 'Downloads' folder which should already be bookmarked on the left of your 'Finder' window. Once you are in the 'Downloads' folder scroll up, or down, until you find your desired transition preset. Which will most likely be in a compressed file as shown in the example image. The file is a .zip file. It can be a .rar or any other compressed format as well, so make sure to have the appropriate decompression software downloaded.

Hey man i downloaded file as you said in your video and followed your steps but when i open Final cut pro in Zoom transition section it doesnt work and its displayed as faulty file not sure what to do ? any advise pls ?

I manage about 100 lab machines with FCP X. We purchased 100 licensee with our admin Apple ID, I download it once on my master machine, and then create my image and deploy it to the labs. When there's an update, I download it on my master machine with our Admin Apple ID, package it with munki and push it out to my labs. That seems to work for us.

That is the easiest way to do it, I think. I'm in a similar position as you and scottnl. Some alternative workflows suggest that you could create a dedicated AppleID for that lab, assign your FCPX copies to that AppleID through VPP, and turn auto-download on those machines.

Apple has since put 10.2.3 back in the trial download queue, but 9to5Mac was able to confirm the 10.3 download before Apple worked their magic. It is reasonable to assume, therefore, that Apple is preparing for a new Final Cut Pro X announcement to go along with its new hardware.

After many months of anticipation, new MacBook Pro models are finally here. Just like in 2020, this time around the highlight of these new Mac models are the new processors powering the laptops. Apple now has two new custom CPUs -- the M1 Pro as well as the M1 Max.

Today's Apple Unleashed event brought with it several interesting announcements, including the release of the two new MacBook Pros. These notebooks are an upgrade over the existing versions of the MacBook in every possible way, but there's something they actually lose -- the Touch Bar. Why did Apple finally choose to get rid of a feature it was once so proud of?
