Online coursework is based in human sciences and life skills. Anatomy, physiology, and pathology set the student up for success by gaining a full understanding of the human body's function. We include topics of ethics, business, and communication so that students leave confident to succeed.
In person coursework places emphasis on student support. Keeping small class sizes allows us to interact more closely with the students. Focus is placed on proper body mechanics and therapist self care. We also include classes such as meditation and yoga, which can be used in therapists own practice or shared with clientele.
Massage techniques and client assessment are taught in classroom and lab settings. Our hands-on technique work allows students to feel confident in building a strong massage base. Through hours of practice under close supervision students will feel confident working on a vast range of clients and meeting their individual needs.
Clinical hours provide for real life practice. Clinic hours allow students to practice client intake and communication skills while working in a professional setting. Learning how to grow through client feedback is an important aspect of working within the massage industry.
